Eden, the Earth Dragon

$7,500.00

Eden was sculpted from English Porcelain clay in my studio, slowly dried over the course of 2-3 months under plastic and bisque fired to 2,400 degrees Fahrenheit in the kiln. The bisqued sculpture was finished with a variety of underglazes and celadon glazes and glaze-fired in the kiln. The finished sculpture is set in a foundation of pigmented resin for stability.

This one-of-a-kind piece measures approximately 18"x14"x14".

Eden’s Story

Eden, the Earth Dragon, embodies the quiet power of the natural world. Her body is adorned with a living tapestry of climbing flowers, ferns, insects, mushrooms, and a serpent that coils up her neck; each a symbol of the delicate balance between beauty and danger, growth and decay. At her crown rests a single quartz crystal, glowing with the steady heartbeat of the Earth.

Unlike dragons of fire, Eden is a guardian of soil, seed, and renewal. Every detail on her surface speaks to the cycles that sustain life: blossoms opening to light and decay returning as nourishment. She is both fragile and enduring, carrying the memory of the forest within her form.

To stand before Eden is to be reminded that we do not exist apart from nature but within it, woven into the same intricate networks that bind fern to fungus, flower to insect, serpent to warm stone. She is not a creature of destruction but of growth and continuity, a dragon whose true power mirrors the patient, eternal work of the Earth itself.
